A COMMUNITY group in Malmesbury has delivered 180 pots of growing daffodils to bring spring cheer to isolated residents in the town. The Friends of Riverside Community Centre delivered the plants to care homes and residents in assisted living accommodation as a cheerful reminder that spring is just around the corner and that they are being thought of during lockdown. Materials have also been provided to allow residents to take part in the Hope Springs Eternal Project. Since the start of the pandemic, the community group have been supporting a number of senior citizens in and around Malmesbury with telephone friendship calls. This has been led by trustee Catherine Doody, with other trustees Mary O’Brien and Kim Power.
