WADDINGTON A Parishville youngster took top honors in a recent youth fishing tournament.
The tournament, held Jan. 18, raised $400 for the Waddington Rescue Squad’s new ambulance fund.
Event organizers say 25 children participated with 14 fish caught, totaling 277 inches in length.
Nine-year old Scott Taylor of Parishville took home first place with a 32-inch fish. In second place was 16-year old Avery Hill, with a 30-inch fish and Charlie Clark-Vallcne, age 11, placed third with a 24.5-inch catch.
The plan is to make this an annual event, organizer Julie McBath said.
