党的十八大以来，海南省委、省政府坚决贯彻落实党中央、国务院关于脱贫攻坚的决策部署，坚持以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指引，坚持将打赢脱贫攻坚战作为海南自由贸易港建设的底线目标和第一民生工程，高位推进、尽锐出战。在省委、省政府领导下，各市县（区）、各部门狠抓落实、攻坚克难，社会各界协同发力、合力攻坚，广大党员、干部和群众苦干实干、奋力拼搏，全省5个贫困县全部摘帽、600个贫困村全部出列、64.97万名建档立卡贫困群众全部脱贫，脱贫攻坚成效考核连续3年保持在“好”的等次，铸就了新时代脱贫攻坚精神，涌现出一大批实绩过硬、事迹感人的先进典型。
