Severe Weather Info from Friday and Flooding Updates

Weather continues to be the top story around the area as this area saw a good portion of rain Friday. According to information from the National Weather Service, Wayne County recorded 3 inches of rainfall while portions of Edwards County saw rainfall of 3.21 inches. Pope County reported the highest rainfall total in the region as they received 5.2 inches of rain according to the weather service. Over the weekend, weather services officials released some of the damage information from the storms that came through. With the severe weather, only one tornado was reported in the National Weather Service Paducah region and that was in McCracken County, Kentucky. Weather service officials say that tornado was an EF-2 with estimated winds of around 125 miles per hour and a path of 1.5 miles. No injuries or deaths were reported with the weather. Turning to Crude Oil Prices, West Texas Intermediate Crude is currently 79.24, down 44 cents this morning while Brent Crude is 86.32, down 34 cents a barrel. Looking at River Stages, The Little Wabash at Clay City was at 10.6 feet early this morning while it was at 20.6 feet at Carmi, both under flood stage. Bompas (Bom-paw) Creek was at 4.18 feet. The Wabash at Mount Carmel was at 9.02 feet. In Wayne City, the Skillet Fork was at 6.07 feet.
