The tragic accident occurred on the former site of River Road Golf Course, which is not maintained, and it is prohibited from anyone being on the premises.
Opposition is mounting against the city’s plan to sell off a piece of public green space for use as private industrial land, and a growing chorus of voices want to see the entire property retained as a public park in east London, Ont.
