Can you believe that . An incredible scene in san rafael this morning of a home being destroyed by a massive landslide. A Police Officer took this video of the house on Mountain View avenue. The twostory house was inundated by a wall of mud that tore right through the walls, snapped support beams and as you can see wrecked the foundation. The family inside heard the commotion, all ran out. The homeowner says everyone did get out safely and is okay. He said seeing the house where he was born destroyed is tough to handle. Caltrans Officials Say this has been one of the worst seasons for potholes they have ever seen and this is one of their worst trouble spots. Sot arne huddin trapped in slidearne huddin, of capitola, is talking about the huge landslide that came down here on northbound highway 17 Tuesday Morning, slamming into his truck, he says, like a runaway train. Sot arne huddin northbound when the slide hit, huddins truck was picked up like a toy and tossed over the Center Divide and into the southbound lanes. Huddin was trapped for about ten agonizing minutes, as rocks and debris fell around him. By the time people stopped to help he had crawled out on his own, bloodying his hands in the escape.
