DISCUSSION The following were employed for the 2021-2022 school year:
Beth DeRodes and Amanda Salay: temporary summer employees
Lindsay Hartke: primary intervention specialist
Amanda Harrison: elementary school teacher
Allison Quay: varsity assistant volleyball coach
Brian Shlapack: volunteer football
Becky Williams, elementary school principal of seven years
Valerie Downs, integrated preschool teacher of seven years
OTHER BUSINESS
Approved a service agreement between the Educational Service Center of Medina County and Black River Local Schools for the Medina County Virtual Academy for the 2021-2022 school year.
Approved a service agreement between the Tri-County Educational Service Center and Black River Schools for the 2021-2022 school year.
DISCUSSION The board accepted the resignations of Corryn Casteel, high school language arts teacher, and Mark Leiendecker, head golf coach, due to personal reasons. Mr. Leiendecker has done a great job, and he is always welcome to come back and coach, Superintendent Chris Clark said. Ms. Casteel s been a great English teacher, the kids love her, Clark continued. She was an asset to the district. It s a loss to the district, we re sorry to see her go.
OTHER BUSINESS
Working on a normal open for next school year, which will include a three-foot rule. There will be three different plans to open and stay open, Clark said. The district did not shut down this year.
