DIMAPUR The state mission director of National Health Mission (NHM), Dr. Ritu Thurr, stated that the main goal of NHM and National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) is to provide comprehensive primary healthcare system accessible to the public, especially the vulnerable section of the society. The NHM mission director also stated that NUHM’s main challenges and focus areas included the urban population including the vulnerable (migratory and floating) population, poor sanitation, vector-borne diseases, poor housing system and over congested health units, stated an update from the office the chief medical officer (CMO), Dimapur.
