"Generally, we have seen ahead of election cycles, there is more money in the pockets of consumers, especially at the bottom end of the pyramid, as government spends money. Now, this should benefit consumer staple or consumer goods company. There are events from the US Fed pivot to monsoon to election and there will certainly be change in the baton and sector rotation."
Markets will be influenced by global sentiments, and concerns with regard to rising crude price and weakening Rupee when they reopen next week. All in all, we will witness heightened volatility in coming weeks, so investors need to be prepared for the same.
​Though we all are believers that this is a wealth-creating space, and if you are patient enough, disciplined enough over a 5-year, 10-year cycle, this space tends to be generally very good from an investor return perspective. But in the near term, there are some dark clouds which we need to be careful about.
