The country has reported more than 195,000 new covid cases and close to a 100,000 patients are currently in the hospital because of covid this is according to the covid tracking project in california nearly 21,000 new cases were reported in a single day. This is the most new cases recorded in a single day in the state since the pandemic started california has recorded more than a million total cases so far. In the bay area more than 153,000 cases have been recorded and nearly 2000 people have died.
