Bellator releases several notable fighters, including Roger Huerta

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) isn’t the only mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion making cuts to its roster Bellator MMA has also recently parted ways with several fighters.
Among them is Roger Huerta, the former
Sports Illustrated cover boy who suffered a third round technical knockout loss to Christopher Gonzalez at Bellator 255 earlier this month. The loss was “El Matador’s” fourth in a row, bringing his record to 1-6 with the Viacom-owned promotion. Related
In addition, long-time Featherweight Brandon Girtz is no longer with the company after an eight-year stint that saw him go 8-8. He was 2-6 in his last eight fights and is currently on a two-fight losing streak. He was last seen losing to Henry Corrales via split decision at Bellator 250 in Oct. 2020.
