Hong Kong-based investment company CLSA has acquired a majority stake in Japanese technology consultancy Rise Consulting Group for an undisclosed sum.
CLSA Capital Partners, the alternative asset management unit of the Hong Kong company, bought the unspecified stake through Sunrise Capital, its 14-year-old US$1.5 billion Japan-dedicated private equity fund.
“With heightened needs for digital transformation and work style reforms following the Covid-19 pandemic, Sunrise believes that demand for consulting services will continue to increase,” the asset manager says in a statement on December 28.
Rise Consulting primarily provides consulting services on the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence and internet of things.
