Xbox Series X Adds FPS Boost Update to Nearly 100 Games

Microsoft has slowly been upgraded a number of games from previous generations to utilize the newfound power that the Xbox Series X and S consoles offer. While these upgrades started off slowly with a handful of Bethesda games and later added more EA titles to the mix, Xbox has today added a massive number of new games to the service.
As of today, 97 games in total have now received FPS Boost upgrades for Xbox Series X and S. Even though this is surely great news on its own, Microsoft has also ensured that the games in question are some of the most accessible ones on the platform. To be specific, many of the titles included in this ever-expanding list are currently available on Xbox Game Pass and EA Play.

Microsoft has today added support for FPS Boost across a whopping 70 games, bringing the total number of Xbox One titles that can receive doubled frame rates on Xbox Series X|S consoles to 97.
There’s an impressive array of titles that can now run with doubled frame rates, either bumping the game up from 30FPS to 60FPS, or from 60FPS to 120FPS. When so many big budget games on the last generation were restricted to 30FPS gaming, it can dramatically increase the fluidity of the experience.

Highlights include Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Alien Isolation, Dying Light, Far Cry 5, and a whole host of LEGO games all now having the option to run at 60Hz. It will even help with more chilled out slice of life and management games like My Time at Portia and Two Point Hospital.

Microsoft has dropped a huge update to their continued efforts to improve legacy titles on their new Series X and Series S console. Over 70 older games will see a higher frame rate via backward compatibility thanks to FPS Boost, proprietary technology that lets titles released for previous systems take advantage of the more advanced innards of the latest Xbox hardware.
