The zine riot may have begun in the early 1990s, but it’s finding renewed vigour as a way for young women to express themselves.
When feminist movement Riot Grrrls created zines as a reaction to sexism in the punk music scene, they were building on a long tradition of pamphleteering championed by the original suffragettes.
