The 64
th edition of the San Francisco International Film Festival, which ran April 9-18, has awarded over US$17,000 in cash prizes this past weekend to emerging and established filmmakers, including in its documentary categories.
The jury hands out a best documentary and best Bay Area documentary prize and this year’s doc feature jury included film producer and director Jameka Autry, film curator Mara Fortes, and program director at Chicken & Egg Pictures, Lucila Moctezuma.

Khabar Lahariya, India s only newspaper run by Dalit women, has won the audience award in the World Cinema Documentary category at the Sundance Film Festival 2021.
The festival, which started from 28 January and will close on 3 February, is presented by Sundance Organisation, a nonprofit that discovers and supports independent artists, and introduces audiences to their work.
