It’s time to test the knowledge of young people in the Townships and see who’s keeping up with the news.
The Record publishes a quiz each week with five questions related to news that appeared the week before in the paper.
Students at the elementary and high school level are invited to read through the paper to find the answers and then send them by email to our editorial team.
At the end of the month, any students who participate and answer the quiz questions will be entered into a draw to win a 16-GB Fire tablet.

The Quebec coroner’s office on Friday confirmed that it will hold a public inquiry into the death of 17-year-old Riley Fairholm, who was fatally shot by a Sûreté du Québec officer in the town of Lac-Brôme in 2018.
The inquiry, the date for which has yet to be announced, will include the calling of witnesses, a spokesperson for the coroner’s office said.

Tracy Wing is inching closer to discovering more details surrounding her 17-year-old son’s sudden death during a police intervention three years ago, after she revealed there will be a public coroner’s inquest later this year.
“I do feel validated in the fact that I had so many questions that I felt were unanswered and the coroner feels the same,” said Wing.
Her son, Riley Fairholm, was suffering a mental health crisis. He was carrying an air gun, walking in the street in Lac-Brome on the night of July 25, 2018, when he was confronted by Sûreté du Québec (SQ) police officers. The encounter lasted 60 seconds, according to Wing.

For almost three years, his family has been searching for answers.
