TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A total of 16 student-athletes representing the Florida State cross country teams captured All-ACC Academic Team honors on Thursday.
The Seminoles had nine women recognized, which tied for the league lead along with NC State and Virginia, while the men had the second-highest total at seven along with Duke, Pitt, and Georgia Tech.
“This is just fantastic!” FSU head coach Bob Braman said. “Our women led the ACC in All-Academic honors and the men had the second most. I’m really proud that our student-athletes make academics a priority.”
CLEMSON, S.C. - The Florida State track and field team had another solid day at the Clemson Invitational at the Rock Norman Indoor Track and Field Complex on Saturday afternoon. The Noles were led by the men's 4x400m relay (Butler, Collier, Willis, Watkins Jr.) who clocked the third-fastest indoor time in school history with a time of 3:05.82 to finish second in the event. Jeremiah Davis continued his phenomenal weekend in the triple jump recording an indoor personal best mark of 16.04m. That mark puts Davis at No. 6 on FSU's all-time list for the event. Kyvon Tatham also finished sixth in the event with a mark of 15.29m. In the men's 3000m run, Patrick Donnelly led the Noles with a time of 8:15.78 which was good enough for sixth place. On the women's side, Caitlin Wilkey (9:55.13) and Riley Bahr (9:55.36) led the way in the women's 3000m run to finish fifth and six. NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The RV/RV Florida State cross country teams competed at the historical Joe Piane Invitational on Friday morning at the Notre Dame Golf Course.
Running in ideal conditions, the women’s team finished in fifth place with a total of 175 points, just behind four top 10 teams that included No. 1 NC State (55), No. 3 New Mexico (68), No. 10 Alabama (70) and No. 8 Notre Dame (146).
The Seminoles finished ahead of No. 27 Oregon State (256) and every other team that received votes in the week three USTFCCCA poll.
“The ladies absolutely showed up to compete today,” FSU women’s distance coach Baylee Mires said. “To place fifth at this meet with so many top contenders in the country is an incredible place to be. I’m really excited about the momentum we are building as a group and we can’t wait to compete again in two weeks at Wisconsin.”

Results BOONE, N.C. – The No.30/RV Florida State cross country teams won their fifth straight Covered Bridge Open on Friday at the Don Kennedy Trails. The women packed up and finished five runners within 28 seconds of each other, scoring 20 points for the win. The men’s team put five runners in the top 11, securing the title with a total of 32 points. The Seminoles finished in second through sixth place in the women’s 5K, led by Alyson Churchill at 16:53.50. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State track and field and field program had a strong first day at the FSU Relays at the Mike Long Track in Tallahassee, Fla. The Noles competed alongside the University of Georgia, the University of South Florida, Georgia Tech, Dartmouth, and Syracuse. We had a really strong first day. Megan in the hammer really set the tone for the day and secured a regional mark, and we had a really good end to the day in the women's 5000m.
