Kind Hearts manager Robyn Tootill said the event supported developing a kindness culture in schools. “One of the big things for us is the message for the kids to be kind to themselves if they get a moment. “We want to encourage positive thoughts. Kids have such busy lives.” Kind Hearts schools facilitator Raewyn Marshall said the day followed on from work the children had done at schools. She said the group wanted to help teachers create kindness. Schools were given resource packs, which include a journal, a calendar and challenges for children to follow.
