On April 4, T1 faced off against Gen.G in the second semifinals match of the 2021 LCK Spring playoffs. Despite many experts in the scene predicting T1 to take the series, as well as the series itself being a lot closer, Gen.G was able to take the clean 3-0 victory. They will now be facing DWG KIA in the grand finals, taking place on April 10.

Gen.G started their series off with a team composition that far outscaled that of T1. Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk’s Jinx was the key to their victory in game 1, as Gen.G’s snowball started rolling with an early bot lane gank. With Ornn in the front lines and Jinx’s ability to hypercarry, Gen.G was able to take all the objectives and took a clean game 1 victory.
