Spring Ridge Middle School in Saint Marys County is closed today. In the day ahead, d. C. Police chief will speak with neighbors in the hill east neighborhood. Thats the area east of capitol hill. People living there have dealt with home invasion, rape, several street robberies and a murder in the last two weeks. Tonights meeting begins at 7 00 at friendship chamberlain Charter School in southeast. Not far from the hill east neighborhood, police say they arrested several people responsible for a series of robberies. Last week there were six robberies in an hour in the navy yard and capitol hill areas. Police say small groups of three to five people are committing multiple robberies a night.
