Twin B Archie managed to hold off a fast-closing Duly Resolved to take the $165,725 Simcoe Stake for three-year-old trotting colts on Saturday night (Sept. 3) at Woodbine Mohawk Park. The race, contested by just five talented sophomores, kicked off a stakes laden card anchored by the legendary Canadian Pacing Derby and Maple Leaf Trot.
Two-year-old pacing filly Savethelastdance joined her older sister Silver Label in the Ontario Sires Stakes spotlight this week with a 1:51.4 career-best performance on Friday night (Sept. 2) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Ottawa’s Rideau Carleton Raceway is celebrating its 60th anniversary and is inviting the community to join in recognizing this milestone. The public is invited to join the celebrations at the raceway on Sunday, Sept. 4 for an evening of harness racing and fireworks.
