One of the tenants of the MicaPlex in Daytona Beach announced a nearly five-fold expansion, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has announced.
The OneSky Innovation Center will add office and research space, meeting areas and a student lounge, as part of an agreement with Embry-Riddle that secures added internships for ERAU students.
In all, OneSky s MicaPlex unit will grow from 500 to nearly 2,500 square feet. Space within the MicaPlex will be renovated to accommodate the change, ERAU officials said.
OneSky offers an array of aviation services catered to businesses. These include FlexJet, which sells fractional jet ownership, allowing access to that aircraft based on the percentage of that ownership, and Sentient Jet, which sells access to light aircraft on an hourly basis via a jet card.
In its 71-year history, the NSF has played a vital role in advancing basic scientific knowledge across a spectrum of disciplines, from engineering to biology, and has become the gold standard for basic research around that world. And in that seven decades, NSF has funded 236 Nobel Prize winners, Waltz said. The NSF has also played a critical role in exporting America s colleges and universities, accounting for 25% of all federally funded research, Waltz said. America s universities have long been regarded as the best in the world and that designation is largely due to the support of the National Science Foundation.
