The newsletter for April has not a lot of text but I am quite busy otherwise and still wanted to give a recap of April. And pictures are anyway telling more than words can ;)

Hotfix released for Divide and Conquer. Also some bigger changes at management worth mentioning, Arachir Galudirithon is no longer lead developer of the modding project:
It is with both relief and sadness that I am now able to announce that I am stepping down as the head of Divide and Conquer. The time has come for me to pass DaC onto someone who will do it justice in this new world of remasters but also to pass it to a team who have the energy and excitement to mod the game that I had back in July 2012 when I joined this mod.

Activity at modding
At the game Mount & Blade: Warband the developers of Persistent Lord of the Rings (PLotR) posted a gameplay video, showcasing a bit the region of Rhovanion in the upcoming update at the end of March.
At LotR: Realms in Exile for Crusader Kings III the next update got a release date, it s going to be the third of April. The update will feature the realms of Gondor, Mordor and Umbar. We got a nice sneak peak at the world map and some Gondor castle holdings.
Announcing Wars of the Firstborn based on Ridder Clan Mod news
Wars of the Firstborn is a modification based on the discontinued Ridder Clan Mod for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II and for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II - The Rise of the Witch-King expansion, which focuses on bringing to life as much of the Elven world from Tolkien’s epic as possible.

At one point it was pretty clear, for me, and for some of the fans, that I had a clearly focused vision in regards to the mod, and that vision was not what the mod was about 8 years or so ago. Obviously, this was due to my preference to work only on content I wanted to see in the mod, in this certain case, the elves. So I fully embraced this vision, that this is probably the only thing the mod will be about from now on.
