RABAT (Reuters) - Moroccan authorities on Monday arrested former human rights minister and lawyer Mohammed Ziane, the same day an appeals court upheld an initial judgment of three years' imprisonment, the prosecutor's office in Rabat said.
The Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH) said in its annual report in January that the Kingdom had seen an "unprecedented regression" in freedom of expression and the press in 2021.
