“India saw a decline in the quarter, primarily in Mobile Networks reflecting the fact that the significant 5G deployments which started in the year-ago quarter have normalized. In addition there were declines in Network Infrastructure in both Optical Networks and Fixed Networks,” Nokia, which follows the January-December financial year, said in its earnings statement.
Ericsson: "The conventional wisdom was that more operators are better for the vendors. However, profitable operators are better for the vendors. Because they are likely to invest, and if you re not profitable, you will not. India is largely a sound structure."
Ericsson 5G: Ericsson red-flagged that due to the current tensions between the US and China, as well as cross-strait strains, the risk to the supply of materials, components, and production timelines “has increased”, which may affect the company’s large projects, such as 5G rollout in India.
