. tragedy in the water. a man is dead after two boats collide in curtis creek. evening. we start tonight with that developing story. the accident happened just hours ago. we are live on the scene. reporter: well the emergency crews had just finished pulling the capsized boats out of the water from behind the beach bar in this area. investigators still don t know what caused this crash. friends say it was a 47-year- old ricky henson, a popular lifelong resident who died on board his boat. he died what he loved doing. that s being on the water. he lived few houses down the street. that s where he grew up. everybody knows him. that s why everybody is here. reporter: police say two boats collided in the water. one driven by john martins and his 13-year-old daughter may have gone over ricky henson s boat striking him and killing him instantly. martins and his daughter were thrown into the water and refused medical treatment. investigators scanned the wreck and talked to
