Bill allowing bars to close at 4 a m likely makes no difference in Lenawee County

The Daily Telegram LANSING While bars have struggled financially with pandemic restrictions for almost a year now, few establishments in Lenawee County think a proposed bill in the Michigan House of Representatives to allow on-premise alcohol sales until 4 a.m. once pandemic curfews are lifted will benefit them. The bill, House Bill 4115, introduced on Feb. 3 by State Rep. Ryan Berman, R-Commerce Township, aims to allow municipalities to extend closing time for bars and restaurants that serve alcohol in their jurisdictions from the previous 2 a.m. cutoff to 4 a.m.  Berman testified for the bill in front of the House Regulatory Reform Committee on March 2.
