OAKLAND Electric cars have arrived at the Oakland Police Department at no initial charge to the town’s taxpayers thanks to a program with Efficiency Maine.
Two 2022 Hyundai Kona EV’s will be used as administrative vehicles assigned to Oakland Police Department Chief Mike Tracy and Deputy Chief Rick Stubbert for the next three years. The department will analyze cost of ownership, dependability and performance.
Missing Oakland woman found safe, police say
Janie Mullins, 29, had not been seen since Jan. 7 in Oakland and possibly Jan 8. in the Sanford area. She was located Wednesday in southern Maine.

OAKLAND An Oakland woman who had been missing for about two weeks has been found and is safe, the Oakland Police Department announced Thursday morning.
Janie Mullins, 29, was last seen Jan. 7 in Oakland until being located Wednesday in southern Maine.
