the deficits are at the levels we showed a couple of seconds ago we re going to put ourselves deeper and deeper into a hole. what is the answer? i think the actual answer is what a lot of economists are saying, is spend now or spend later. if you spend now, you re going toward off deflation, because the economy is still very weak. you still have if it s not re recessionary, you have job unemployment above 10 percent, you still have growth at about 1 percent. if we get out of the economy with 1 percent growth at the end of the year, don t double-dip technically, we re still in a really bad economy. we re going to have to spend our way out of it somehow and get some jobs put into the economy because the private sector is not doing it now, or we can spend later. we can ward off deflation now and worry about inflation now or spend later, worry about the political issues going on now, government spending, they re going to raise taxes, all of these hot button issues, but eventually we
