cohen, for example, and you know, the s.e.c. violations that everybody was so amazed at, that came ou came, out of the southern district. rick gate, what he is like little cooperating on in dc, is the investigation of the trump inaugural committee. so it is very big news that there will be no indictments of americans for conspiracy with the russians. i mean if trump is saying it is a hoax, it s a hoax, the russia thing is certainly not a hoax, because we saw several rounds of indictments from robert mueller indicting russians but the bred crumbs that he left saying potentially americans were involved, it is just not happening. does this now put to bed the cloud over the president, mueller s report being concluded? look, i think for the president, it s a big deal that this investigation ended. it does begin to lift the cloud over the president. but i think you also have to acknowledge that the president, all of those clips you showed of
indicted or pled guilty including 26 russian nationals, three russian companies and six former trump advisers. five of the six former advisers pleaded guilty. but as you say, not a single allegation related to collusion with russia to impact the 2016 election. former trump campaign foreign policy adviser george papadopoulos pleaded guilty in october of 2017 of making false statements to the f.b.i. he was sentenced to 14 days in jail. paul manafort, trump s former campaign chair was indicted on 25 counts of faking documents to obtain loans and financial crimes in connection to his work for the ukrainian politicians. manafort will serve about six and a half years in prison. former trump campaign aide rim rick gate named alongside manafort. michael flynn pleaded guilty in december of 2017 to making false statements to the f.b.i. michael cohen, trump s former lawyer pleaded guilty to tax
welcome back. former trump adviser roger stone is pleading for his freedom after he failed to disclose to the court that his new book could violate his gag order. last month stone was barred from speaking publicly about the mueller investigation after he publicly attacked the judge overseeing his case. now we re awaiting a filing from stone s lawyers which will explain why stone didn t violate that order. didn t violate the order. it kicks off an eventful week coming up. this wednesday paul manafort will be sentence in washington, d.c. where he faces up to a decade more in conspiracy on top of the four years he got last week in virginia. we re expecting a status update in the case of michael flynn. it could reveal the extent of his cooperation with mueller. is he talking? roger stone is back in court for a status hearing about his upcoming trial. on friday we ll get a sentencing update on rick gate who is is cooperating with prosecutors.
