Sean Desmond grew up in 1980s Dallas and graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory School, which is featured in his new novel, Sophomores. The veteran of the publishing industry released his first novel, Adams Fall, in 2000.(Hillery Stone)
That’s the setting for his new novel,
Sophomores, which follows a Jesuit student named Dan Malone and his parents, Pat and Anne, through a tumultuous 1987. We caught up with Desmond, who lives in Brooklyn and is the publisher of Twelve, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing, to talk about his new book. It comes out Jan. 26.
