VIDEO: The goal of the Digital Dementia Detection (D3) project is identification of noninvasive, low-cost methods for early detection of Alzheimer s disease. view more  Credit: Regenstrief Institute INDIANAPOLIS Researchers from Indiana University School of Medicine, Regenstrief Institute, IUPUI and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine will study a problem that has been vexing healthcare professionals and families for decades, using scalable, low-cost, and noninvasive approaches to identify Alzheimer s disease and help improve the quality of life for patients and families. The grant from the National Institutes of Health s National Institute on Aging is expected to total nearly $5 million over five years.
