San Antonio s own Taco Cabana has been sold to a California company as part of a multimillion-dollar deal. Fiesta Restaurant Group, Inc., Taco Cabana s parent company, announced on July 1 that it has inked a deal to sell the famed taco chain for $85 million.
That s enough cash to buy 42,500,000 strawberry margaritas.
Taco Cabana s new owners, YTC Enterprises, LLC, is an affiliate of Yadav Enterprises, Inc., which operates nearly 400 eateries in California, Texas, and 16 other states. YTC Enterprises specializes in fast casual/quick service restaurants, such a Jack in the Box and TGIFriday s.
