“I am proud to once again introduce the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act,”
Graham said. “There are only seven countries that allow wholesale abortions at the 20-week period, including China and North Korea. The United States should not be in that club.”
“I don’t believe abortion, five months into pregnancy, makes us a better nation,”
said Graham. “America is at her best when she’s standing up for the least among us, and the sooner we pass this legislation into law, the better. We are on the right side of history.”

For months, lawmakers negotiated the stimulus package that passed Monday night, and though most members of Congress don’t yet know the entirety of what’s included in the over 5,000-page bill, it’s clear from the last months of tense talks that one of the most contentious points was the $600 direct payments that ended up being squeezed in very late in the game.
Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey put her stamp of approval Monday on the new Auburn site that is helping in the global fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The governor gathered with local and state leaders and Auburn University officials at SiO2âs newest production facility in the southwest corner of Auburn to commemorate the use of the companyâs plastic and glass hybrid vials designed to deliver Modernaâs COVID-19âs vaccine to patients waiting around the world.
âThis day marks an important moment for Alabama and for SiO2, whose high-tech vials will be used in the delivery of a vaccine that will help end the COVID-19 pandemic,â Ivey said in a statement accompanying her appearance. âThe technical accomplishments of SiO2 demonstrate to the world the kind of highly innovative and groundbreaking work that is being done in Alabama. Weâre very grateful for this achievement and this company.â
