Documentary celebrates the grimy North Station club that opened its doors to countless bands in the â80s

If you found yourself squeezing into Chetâs Last Call in the mid-1980s, you werenât exactly looking for a comfortable night out. Situated a block or so from the old Boston Garden on Causeway Street, the grimy, no-frills club occupied the second floor above the Penalty Box, a dive bar reputedly frequented by wiseguys. Before it was Chetâs, the small room had served as a strip club and something called the Cosmic Disco.

Jesse Brown received the COVID-19 vaccine on the morning of December 22 and began administering the vaccine that afternoon. Since then, Jesse Brown has administered more than 1,400 doses to high-risk veterans who are patients at Jesse Brown, as well as Jesse Brown employees. The VA is following vaccine priority guidelines set by the CDC.

One of New Zealand s most luxurious lodges halved room rates and redeployed staff to vineyards owned by an associated NZX listed business during the national lockdown. Richard Rooney, general manager of South Wairarapa s Wharekauhau Country Estate, told how covid and the alert level 4 sank lodge bookings earlier this year so an alternative plan was swung into action to save staff jobs. I really want to emphasise that we managed to keep all our staff. Not only that but we actually hired more people as domestic demand outstripped our expectations, Rooney said.
