Dismiss March 15, 2021 — 12.10am Save Normal text size Credit:Fairfax Media Parnell Palme McGuinness’ assessment of “Boomer feminism” is both condescending in its label and outrageous in the assertion that its benefits were accrued “only to the already privileged” (“Boomer feminism is not what we need at this transformational moment”, March 13-14). Her claim that the “poor” and less “intellectual” were left behind to deal with the unwanted consequences of the sexual revolution is both unsubstantiated and insulting to the many feminists from my Boomer generation who have consistently worked to improve the lives of women, especially those without the resources to challenge government and societal rules and expectations. The only “shallow” thing is Palme McGuinnessâ�
