Idaho Department of Correction officials couldn’t carry out the scheduled execution of convicted murderer Thomas Creech on Wednesday morning, a department spokeswoman confirmed. Creech’s execution was scheduled for 10 a.m.
There are currently eight people on death row in Idaho. The state last executed someone in 2012, when Richard Leavitt was put to death by lethal injection.
