LAKE WINNEBAGO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) â Day four of sturgeon spearing in 2021 saw the lowest harvest totals so far, according to the Department of Natural Resources.
Along the Winnebago System, 124 fish were speared Tuesday with 97 on Lake Winnebago and 27 on the Upriver Lakes.
The registration station with the most fish registered along Lake Winnebago was Grundman Lane with 24 fish.
So far, 996 fish in total have been speared on the Winnebago system.
706 of those fish this season have been harvested on Lake Winnebago, consisting of 119 juvenile females, 320 adult females, and 267 males.
The Upriver Lakes has a season total of 35 juvenile females, 66 adult females, and 189 males for 290 total fish speared.
