HAWLEY, Minn. For seven months after the coronavirus pandemic began, Mike Wiita had no job.
On unemployment, it pained him to watch his girlfriend leave for work every morning while their savings dwindled. “I had to go without paying bills just so that I could put food on the table,” he said.
