Police in Ntchisi district on Sunday they have arrested a primary school teacher for allegedly defiling a 17-year old primary school learner.
Meanwhile Ntchisi police publicist, sub inspector Richard Kaponda has identified the suspect as a 37- year âold Standwell Kanyenda who is a teacher at one of the primary schools in the district.
The suspect is believed to have committed the crime on 26 March 2021 after he allegedly coaxed the victim to join him for lunch and later dragged her to a bush where he defiled her.
The suspect hails from Mkhuzi Village in the area of Traditional Authority Kalumo in Ntchisi district.
