righteous men and there you have president ahminedjad offering somewhat of a justification for the pursuits of his nation. there s a global, nuclear conference shaping up today in new york where the nations of the world are revug the details of the nuclear, nonproliferation treaty. ron, how important is what ahminedjad has to say to the other nations of the world right now? well, it s very important, certainly to him. that s why he s here. the only head of state participating in this confere e conference. there are about 189 signatories to this treaty and he s the only head of state here for this. it s a month-long meeting that happens every five years. ahminedjad wants the world stage. he wants all the attention. wants to present himself as a reasonable man, that the country is embarking on nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. on the other hand of course, the united states is very concerned about iran s efforts to perhaps construct nuclear weapons and its inablty and
