Localised flooding reported in Holbeach and Spalding and firefighters are thanked by a resident  | Updated: 15:52, 24 December 2020 Localised flooding has been reported in Holbeach and Spalding following yesterday s heavy rains. Lorraine Buckingham has thanked Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue for pumping away rising levels of water in Wentworth Close, Spalding, last night. Drains in the close had held up to the deluge of rain until about 5.30pm last night when the water began to rise and Mrs Buckingham reported 2inch of water in her garage. Pictures taken in Wentworth Close in Spalding by Lorraine Buckingham (43718914) Firefighters were called to the close at around 7.30pm when they began to pump the water away to the River Welland. They left at 9am today.
