Similar protests have sprung up across the east bay. Students at bishop owe dowd, oakland tech and Berkeley High all held walk outs. In oakland, things got ugly. Protesters set fires in the streets. Its a story we first brought you last night on our 5 00 news. Cal Officials Say students enrolled in a court stopped by that man, professor nazir al sigh yad have the option to leave his class. Yesterday students protested on campus, demanding he be removed immediately. Graduate student eva fisher claimed she endured four years of Sexual Harassment by the professor. Last week an independent investigator concluded that the professor indeed violated the universitys Sexual Harassment policy. His attorney maintains he did nothing wrong. That empowers some of these kids to do this, were marching, this is an antitrump rally and our principals are with us. We cannot physically stop 200 students. I mean, clearly our desire was for them not to leave campus. The principal argues he did not condone the protest, and only left campus to keep the kids safe, and says he would do it again.
