Candidate for Lincolnshire Police chief constable impresses selection panel

East Midlands Deputy Chief Constable Chris Haward has impressed a selection panel of councillors in a bid to become the new Lincolnshire Police Chief Constable.
If successful, Mr Haward will be offered a £161,115 yearly salary - 12.7 per cent higher than the advertised £142,896.

At a meeting of the Police and Crime Panel on Thursday night, Marc Jones, Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner said: âChris Haward is a highly experienced chief officer.

Boston United’s next home fixture will be played at their brand new stadium after the club got the seal of approval from the borough council and the National League to stage matches at its multi-million pound facilities.
The Jakemans Community Stadium is part of The Quadrant development, which includes new homes and businesses.
Outdoor grassroots sport will be allowed to resume in England when the national lockdown ends, which means Boston’s home fixture against Chorley on Saturday, December 5 should be the club’s first at the new stadium.
Fans could be allowed back in limited numbers when lockdown ends, with up to 4,000 allowed in tier one areas, 2,000 in tier one areas, but none in tier three.

Police charge teenager with rape
Rape charge: A 19-year-old local man was charged with theft and the rape of a local woman on August 15.
Police have charged a 19-year-old local man with rape, assault and theft in relation to an offence in Lincoln on August 15.
William Gary Clawson of Laughton Way, Lincoln, was charged with the offence on August 16 by Lincolnshire Police’s Emerald Team, the force’s dedicated serious sexual assault investigation unit.
The incident took place against a local woman on Ruckland Avenue, Lincoln.
Clawson was remanded in custody and will appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court later on Wednesday.
