Billionaire Richard Branson has been attacked for calling for an end to travel restrictions during an interview on Sky News. Following the interview, news host Mark Austin told his co-worker and fellow host Jon Craig Mr Branson was insisting restrictions should be relaxed once the most vulnerable have been vaccinated. Mr Craig smiled and mocked the businessman by saying well he would say that and highlighted Mr Branson was connected from his private island.

Virgin Orbit is on Sunday, January 17, taking a historic step at reaching space with its LauncherOne rocket for the first time. The Richard Branson-owned spacecraft company is today making its second attempt to reach orbit with its air-launched Demo 2 LauncherOne rocket.

Last year, its LauncherOne reached the edge of space for the first time in the company s history.
However, the mission was abandoned when the plane reached near orbit due to a propellant line breaking shortly after the first-stage burn began.
Virgin s space fairing arms have been busy during the coronavirus pandemic, with its other space company, Virgin Galactic, having recently successfully tested its VSS Unity.
The company stated it considered this step a major milestone in its bid for commercial flights, which could begin as early as this year.

Richard Branson, 70, has shared that his mother, Eve Branson, has passed away after contracting coronavirus. The Virgin Group founder said he does not want to “mourn her loss” but instead wanted to “celebrate” her life.
