The Des Plaines Community Foundation will award five $1,500 scholarships to 2023 Des Plaines college-bound students. This is the 11th year the foundation has offered these scholarships. The Des Plaines Community Foundation, Sysco Chicago and Sunrise Grill all worked together to provide and deliver Thanksgiving Day dinners. As a result, more than 260 individuals, homebound seniors and people with disabilities had a very happy Thanksgiving.
