however, it s been yet another fine, dry and settled day. plenty of sunshine across the uk with highs into the low 20s celsius. now this fine and settled weather, it will continue for the rest of the week as our blocking area of high pressure continues to keep all rain bearing weather fronts well away. you can see this blocking high, sitting almost on top of the country. light winds with very few ice bars for many, but a fresh northeasterly breeze will continue across this south east quadrant of england. and that ll drag in cloud tonight again off the north sea into the midlands, southern and eastern england. elsewhere where skies are clear, then it could be quite chilly. temperatures maybe very close to freezing, but for most 4 to 8 celsius. could start quite grey, then tomorrow morning, across central and eastern parts of england, the cloud tending to melt back and fragment towards the coast. however, where areas don t do stay grey with a fresh breeze, it ll be quite cool. but furthe
16 or 17 celsius again. now, as we head into tuesday, high pressure still the dominant feature keeping atlantic fronts at bay. but notice that the ice bars start to come closer together. so we start to develop a stronger easterly wind. once again, some coastal counties, eastern coastal counties will feel cooler, could see more cloud pushing in across southern counties of england and perhaps wales, too. but for many, a dry day, good spells of sunshine warm in the sunshine away from eastern coast. but most will have a dry day as well. little change, really, as we head into wednesday. if anything, the winds become a little bit stronger on wednesday. we re sitting on the edge of that area of high pressure. once again, a fair amount of cloud across some southern counties and parts of wales should see some sunshine developing for many through the day. but notice the strength of the wind on wednesday. quite a keen easterly wind blowing. so despite some sunshine along eastern coast, it will be
today to start the 1st of april. that s the legacy left by yesterday s area of low pressure. however, as we move into part two of the weekend with high pressure building in overhead, it should turn dry and brighter for most of us with increasing amounts of sunshine. so it will start to be a little bit warmer, too. that s yesterday s low pressure sitting out in the near content. it s left a legacy of weather fronts around quite a lot of clouds, too. and the breeze, a noticeable breeze coming in off the north sea, making it feel quite chilly down north sea coast. but the rain in the west of scotland, northern ireland, should slowly petered out overnight. many places will turn dry with variable clouds, some clear spells where skies clear, be quite chilly, where we hold on to the cloud and then five to 7 degrees for many of us. so for part two of the weekend, then high pressure starts to build in overhead. we lose the all the ice bars in the southeast, so the breeze through the morning wil
some eastern areas may not see that rain until later in the afternoon, but most of us will see a spell of rain and potentially heavy rain for a time on tuesday, the temperatures slowly starting to rise. but given the cloud and the rain, it will still feel on the cold side on tuesday. as we head into wednesday, notice the ice bars start to come closer together so the winds will be strengthening. we ve got yet another system to deal with pushing into western areas through through wednesday morning. some heavy rain across northern ireland, into western scotland, southwest england, wales, north west england. once again, the further east you are, you may not see that rain until later in the afternoon, but with south westerly winds, the temperatures will be starting to rise. feeling milder midweek, low pressure still very much in charge as we head through wednesday and into thursday. and in fact, potentially quite a windy day on thursday. notice how tightly packed those isobars. but what we
