Julie Jean Mehling, 56, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2022 at her home. Our beautiful Julie brought a bright energy everywhere she went. She was devoted to her mother, and loved spending summers with her as a child, going to rummage sales, Brighton Beach, and collecting rocks. Julie graduated from Duluth East High School in 1984. She loved shopping, clothes, changing her style, making new friends, Freddie Mercury, and Sammy’s Pizza. In addition to being very tidy and organized, Julie was a natural, kind-hearted, and generous care-giver, which led to her long career as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) with a specialty in hospice care. Julie was a private person, and enjoyed solitude, but she was also friendly, open-minded, and accepting of others. She loved snuggling up on the couch with her dog, watching movies and crime shows.
