THE Royal British Legion Poppy appeal organiser for North Wales has taken on a challenge to walk one-million steps for charity in April Richard Kendrick, who has been described as a prolific fundraiser, has set himself a target of raising £1,000 for the Rhyl RNLI, Rhyl Poppy Appeal, Rhyl Food bank, Brighter futures and The Osborne Trust. Richard said: “I’ve taken on a challenge to raise money for the Rhyl RNLI, Rhyl Poppy Appeal, Rhyl Food bank, Brighter futures and The Osborne Trust. “I’m going to walk and run one million steps, which is more than 500 miles and I have 30 days to complete the challenge. To make it harder I have to walk 38,000 feet upwards, that is much higher than Mount Everest. So, I will be walking up Prestatyn, Meliden and Dyserth hills.
