The Jams I’m Baking With (and Gifting) This Holiday Season
Over the summer at Green City Market in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, I came across Bushel & Peck’s life-changing jams. When I say life-changing, I mean it. I had been eating the usual store-brand raspberry jam for the entire duration of quarantine until I found Bushel & Peck’s. Since adopting the jam brand for everything from my morning toast to holiday baking, I haven t looked back.
I started simple, with their Raspberry Jam, made in the Bushel & Peck’s preservation kitchen in Beloit, WI. It was the perfect balance of sweet and tart and tasted like it was just made from freshly-picked berries. Let’s just say I finished the jar in time for the next week’s market, where I bought another Raspberry as well as Black Raspberry and Blackberry Raspberry. And since Sungold tomatoes were on my mind at that point, I couldn’t resist snagging one of the savory Sungold Tomato Jams, too.
